Recording from a turntable or tape deck

Is it possible to record my vinyl records or tapes onto my computer by plugging into the front panel on my HP Media Center???and then create CDs from them.
 
It certainly is!! You may need to get some audio capture software like
Roxio or Nero. I do suggest though that you perhaps consider copying your
vinyls to tape FIRST. It's pretty hard on the stylus while you're going
through trial and error.
