Hi. I recently had a vd/dvd rw installed on my computer.
Was wondering, how can I take a dvd and extract or record
small portions of the audio track?? What software might I
need. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thanks,
James

Two programs that I use are Adobe Audition 2 and Goldwave 5.1, both are very
reliable, Adobe Audition is a commercial program and is quite expensive but
Goldwave is around $65 Aust free to download then register, depends on how
serious you are as to what you want to do with sound files.

Well youre best bet if you have a home dvd player &/or stereo, connect
either device to youre "line-in" jack on the pc,download WM encoder 9
series,record with the encoder,"capture audio"......

You can use Movie Maker to record the
audio and then save it as a .wma file.

You'll find instructions in the right pane
of the following article.
