I have an ATI All-in-Wonder 128 Pro 32MB video card and I am using Win
XP Pro. I would like to be able to record TV shows onto my computer.
The TV service to my home is cable from CableVision and they also
provide my internet access with Optimum Online. Can someone point me in
a direction to show me how to accomplish this? Thanks a lot.

You should be able to get nonpremium analog channels by plugging the
cable into the AIW and having it scan the cable channels. For the
premium channels you'll need to connect the cable box to the AIW by
using a composite or S-video cable.

The Gemstar Guide+ software on the ATI CD will do this. You can also do
it manually with MMC (ATI Multimedia Center), the program that you use
to watch TV, but you have to stop and start it manually (you have to be
at the computer, there is no "timer" if you don't use Guide+).

Look for a "Gemstar" folder on the ATI CD, burried somewhere on the CD.
It's not installed by default in many early versions, so you have to
find it and install it manually (when you find the folder, there will be
a setup program in it).

Got it working. I get the picture but not the sound. What I did was I
disconnected the cable for my digital service (iO Digital) where it goes
into the cable modem and connected it to the cable receiving plug on the
card. I then was able to use ATI's MMC version 7.2 and get video, but
no sound??? I checked and my computer says that line-in is active and
not on mute but still no sound. Any ideas???

Plug the line-out on your pigtail connector from your ATI card into
the line-in on your audio card.
