Hello:
I'm looking for software that will allow me to record phone conversations
in progress.

Anyone?

This seems to be a popular topic recently. :)

You need to get the audio from the phone into your computer. That will
require hardware of some kind, perhaps a modem, but usually some sort
of adapter that plugs into the phone (typically into the handset plug)
and also plugs into your sound card.

Once you have the sound getting to your sound card, there are several
freeware recording and playback programs that could be used.

This has been discussed recently in in some detail in this group under
the subject "Record telephone conversations". You can search at
http://www.google.com/advanced_group_search -- put those words into
the subject box, "alt.comp.freeware" into the newsgroup box, and
search.

Be aware that depending on where you are located and where the person
you are speaking with is located, it may be illegal to record the
conversation, or you may be required to get permission from everyone
who participates in the conversation.

And then, perhaps try this one:

Not very good documentation, but it works for me for radio
streaming into wave file and microphone recording - it captures
soundcard input.
