Click the start orb

Type "recorder" (no quotes) in the Start Search area.

Voila
(I had no idea if that would work... I just did it and it DID work)

Its called Sound Recorder, located under Accessories or through a simple
search as Bo noted.

I don't want to seem unkind, but did you spend even a minute looking for it
yourself?

It's unfair on the helpful people here just to post every question that
comes to mind without making some effort yourself to find out the answer.

I doubt it. It took me maybe 10 seconds to find the recorder, not
even knowing if there was one in Vista.

Sound recorder has been present in every version of Windows that I've used
from Windows 3.1 onwards. Given that Vista is multimedia focused, it would
surprise me if it didn't have such a thing.

In any case, a PC would surely have the software that comes with the sound
card (or on-board sound), that would definitely have some sort of recording
facility.

Use that same wonderful logic with the folks who want to send faxes
and come to find out that the fax program was dropped from their
version of Vista.

Its only a feature of Vista Business, Enterprise and Ultimate.

Please read the whole thing before sending off one of your quick
replies.

I _KNOW_ that! I was using the fax console as an example to
illustrate a point and was not asking a question.
