Hi all, I am having a really annoying problem where the record pointer is
always defaulting to the first record in continues form, no mater which
record I select
it then jumps back to the first record - if I click on any record and type
something really quickly it
actually enters the data to that field but then default back to first
record. I just don't get it.
Any ideas???

Thank you for the help.

It sounds like something is triggering a refresh or a requery.

Check in the event tab for the field you are typing in. Sounds as if
there is something in perhaps the onchange event to cause the action.
That probably needs to be changed.

Hi Ron, it actually defaults back to first record as soon as I let go the
mouse button.
It looks almost like bug in Access, because the form works fine when it is
opened by it self.
But when I use it as a sub form it starts doing this resetting thing.

Go back to the main form that the subform is sitting on. Something is
causing that form to either requery the subform or refresh.

Since the subform is working correctly when standing alone, then it HAS
to be something dealing with the relationship between the mainform and
the subform.
