I'm having some major problems with Access reports at the moment. I've
designed a VERY simple database for the school where i work to aid in the
writing of pupil reports.

In the Access report i can get the data to run in colums across the page,
but I would like the data to be grouped by each subject.

I'll see if I can explain it better

It currently runs

Literacy Numeracy Science ect

With the results from the form appearing in colums but i would like it to run

Literacy
Results grouped

Numeracy
Results grouped

But i can't for the life of me get it to work
Any help would be greatly appriciated

Lee,
You need to check out Help on report "Grouping". In the Grouping dialog
box, you tell Access how you want to "break" the data for the sake of
clarity, or to make calculations.
Lets say Literacy, Numeracy, Science are a field called [Courses]. In
Grouping, you would add the Courses field, sort ascending, and add a footer
to the report. That should cause your "detail" data to sort by Courses, and
"break whenever Courses changes.
Can't cover all the aspects of grouping here, but that's the basic
idea. It's not that difficult, just get in there and expirement...
