Record of Copies Files

Does xp keep a record of files that may have been copied
either to CD or and external hard drive? I feel that my
computer has had files copied from it during a visit from
a colleague. Please describe where I might find this log
if it exsists.

You would have to turn this on, manually.

Control Panel | Administrative Tools | Local Security Policy | Local
Policies | Audit Policy | Audit Object access.

Then go to Explorer, right click the folder you want to monitor,
select properties, security, click advanced, and go to the Auditing
tab. Click add. and add the users you want to monitor...
