Record locking on entering review initials

I need to have a database that can be updated by my staff, and that has a
field called "reviewer's initials" that I enter when the data has been
verified. After that, the record must lock so that it can only be edited by
me.

I gather there is a way to do this with the Event setting, but I haven't
figured out how. I appreciate any help!

P.S. I don't have an "on current" field in my properties window. I'm using
Access 2002 SP3. I have lots of other "on XXXX" options, but ont an "on
current."

Make sure that the form, and not a control on the form, is the selected
object. The form itself is the only thing that has an On Current property.
