Hi everyone,

now with Microsoft releasing critical updates almost once a week we have
identified the need for a way of pushing down these updates to the
workstations... I am aware of some vbs scripts and third party apps that
might do that but can anyone tell me what the 'best' way is?

TIA,

Kou

Kou,

It is very difficult for us to tell you what the "best"
way is. None of us know your network like you do. While
SUS would be the general response I would give, I could
still give you a few others. One that might make total
sense to me and my client's environments might bring about
raised eyebrows from you!

If allowing all the domain user accounts in your
environment to be a member of each systems local
administrator group ( typically a really bad idea! ) then
Windows Update might not be so bad. Simply give your
users specific instructions as to which one(s) to apply.
I sure would not want to allow this but you might.

HTH,

Cary
