recommended old hardware driver

on windows update, after scanning my pc under xpsp1 or
win2k pro sp4 with nvidia fx5200 128mb, has recommended an
old driver version (NVIDIA display software update
released on October 06 2003) when the nvidia website has
available a new driver (Version: 61.76 Release Date: July
20, 2004) for the device.

is there any reason why i should revert back to the old
driver?
