Hello! I'm running Windows XP SP2... and I'm looking for a new
anti-virus solution.

My machine is a 2.8ghz p4 with one gig of ram.

I've tried Norton Anti-Virus 2004 Professional; This was a bloated piece
of junk.
I have also tried Avant! and did not like that as well... both run
services that use huge amounts of ram and have clunky interfaces...

I want a simple anti-virus solution, I was looking into Panda Titanium..
is this a popular one? What are some other popular ones? [not mcaffee]

Thanks Guys.

I am happy with Avast! - even in 512 MB RAM driven under WinXP_Pro_SP1
by a PII 350@466!

Kaspersky runs fine and so seems to be running Nod32 v.2 trial. What I
nave noticed SP2 does not braek any application on the contrary they
run faster.

Jari.

Just tried NOD32 out, and I must say this is the best anti-virus
solution I have ever used.

Is that the beta XP SP2 or has MS released the final XP SP2?

Hello,

I've been reading everyone's advice on what to do to protect your
computer and have successfully installed and run SpyBot S&D and Ad-Aware
(with the current updates), and successfully quaranteed and deleted some
of those little buggers that have been plaguing my computer.

However - and I'm not even sure if this is related - now I can't seem to
right-click and save images anymore with Netscape 7.1. Would anyone know
if this has anything to do with the programs I installed? Or did I screw
something else up? I can right-click and save with IE, but, well, I hate
IE, even to pull it up just to save a little ol' image. ;)

I've checked all my settings for my mouse (Microsoft Wireless
Intellimouse Explorer 2.0) and my settings in Netscape and everything
seems kosher. What did I DO??? Erg!

Any help would be appreciated, as I've exhausted all other avenues that
I can think of.

Sounds more like a mozilla quirk. Ask this question on
netscape.public.mozilla.general. There are many little details which
work in one release and not in another. The latest 1.7b is pretty solid
and when 1.7 comes out, I'd suggest upgrading.
