I am looking for a color laser multifunctional printer to do print, scan,
copy, and fax. It would be even better if it is a network printer. Any
recommendation? Thanks.

What sort of budget and usage levels are you looking at?

Thank you for your response. I would like to have it in a small office with
less than 50 pages printed daily. I would like to spend around $500 for it.
CNET has a review for Lexmark 502n. I would like to know if anyone out there
has any experience with any multifuncitonal color laser.

Don't know about Lexmark models in the USA, but they don't have a good
reputation for reliability here in this part of Oz according to a
local retailer who no longer stocks them for that reason.

Cheers, Phred.

Just out of interest, does that include the laser models? The inkjet
and multi-function inkjet division has enough sins to go around in terms
of build quality and driver issues, but, at least in terms of laser
printers (monochrome) the printers from Lexmark were pretty reliable.

That division came from the quite solid IBM printer division. I don't
know which part of Lexmark has been assigned the multi-function color
laser end of things. Hopefully, it is the people who used to do the
monochrome lasers.

The local retailer was talking about inkjet/multi-function models
AFAIK. If I can remember, I'll ask about laser next week.

A personal opinion is that the Lexmark printers generally have a poor
reputation. This is based upon user problems with printer drivers and
installation difficulty, as well as compatability with other mfrs printers
and drivers. (When installed on the same PC.)
As I remember the major ares of difficulty concerned--
USB operation (and installation)
Printer monitor compatability. (Part of the driver package)
Strange problems with the Windows print spooler
