recognising scanner

I have attahed a Canon scanner to my laptop but the Camera & Scanner Wizard
doesn't recognise it. The system appears to recognise the scanner, the
scanner appears on the Control Panel and the Driver appears to be installed -
the scanner reacts to a diagnostic test.

Whenever you only use the built-in drivers / software that is shipped
with XP, you will have these type of problems. You should head over
to Canon's web site and try to get the correct drivers / software for
the scanner.
