Most of the time, photos I send turn into masses of
letters when the recipient open them. From my side all
looks normal when I send them. Help!

It might be your recipents email program or ISP that is causing the problem.
Are you sending as an attachment or in the body of the email message? Try
posting your photos to free photo storage site then send your recipent a
link to the photos.

Thank you for replying.
I am sending my photos using the paper clip, or Insert,
or by RightClick and Send to mail recipient. It does not
make any difference. The problem must come from me
because it occurs with different recipients in different
countries.
Can I use this free online photo storage even if I don't
order photos to be printed?
Thank you.

Yes, you can upload your files and you are not
forced to purchase prints.

There are many online photo printers. I wouldn't
think of it as "photo storage" because there's
always the chance the files could be removed.
I've seen several messages from folks who have
lost family pictures because they did not retain a
backup copy of their uploaded files.

Anyway...there are many choices at the following

John,
How about temporary photo storage sites. Two of the sites I referenced
do say unlimited photo storage. The best thing for anyone to do is read the
TOS agreement for each site. The film developer I used let me store my
photos online but told me they would be deleted since I hadn't had film
developed in a year so I told them to delete my account as well.

Hi Paul,

I guess it depends on your definition of *unlimited*.

I read it as no limit on the number of files you can
upload. This does not mean the files will not be
deleted in a specific period of time. I suspect you
would receive a warning e-mail message but
what if you missed it?

Some sites offer a membership that more or less
guarantees that your files will not be removed...
but I wouldn't depend on that either because there's
always the chance that the site could close and
your files would vanish also.

Bottom line...always retain copies of your originals
on your hard drive and burned on CDs also. It's
good insurance.
