I have been beset by some recent problems with printing on my notebook
computer, but don't really know what could have caused it. I use wireless
here at the office and at home, and am part of a network here, and print
through my wireless router at home, so maybe there's some conflict or I have
too many printers in my system. (none are Lexmark). I have tried to read some
posts and checked the Internet for assistance as well.
I just tried the cleanspl.exe fix, but that didn't work either. When I
reboot, as well as several subsequent times, the "Spooler SubSystem App has
encountered a problem and needs to close" error box pops up, with the
following details:
szAppName: spoolsv.exe szAppVer: 5.1.2600.2180 szModName: Ntdll.dll
SZModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 offset: 00011ec3
C:\DOCUME~1\DOUGBO~1\LOCALS~1\TEMP\WER8710.DIR00\spoolsv.exe.mdmp
C:\DOCUME~1\DOUGBO~1\LOCALS~1\TEMP\WER8710.DIR00\appcompat.txt
Anyone have any suggestions? Do I need to still go into the registry and
edit it, even if I tried the cleanspl.exe fix? I got the impression that was
available if you didn't want to mess with the registry. I am using Windows XP
home.
Thanks.
