I continue to get the same spam email a few times a day
that is from my own email address (uses my own email
address in the FROM:). Is this a virus, an Outlook problem
or some new kind of SPAM method?

Norton Anti-Virus hasn't found any virus so what is going
on here?

It's called Spoofing, the spam sender puts your email
address in the to: and the from:

Like if they have to go to that trouble to send you spam
that they actually think your going to read it. Your
trying to filter them out so you don't have to read it or
deal with it and they honestly think if they can get it
into your inbox you'll cave in and say, "Oh well OK, I'll
read it, click the link and buy something", even though I
don't want to.....

its a new way to spam and get past filters.

And how does one block the spoofing email?
