am getting two of every message in my in-box through my server which is
comcast.
can't seem to figure out why all of a sudden this is happening-anybody have
a clue-it is only on the default account not other users whose settings are
the same as mine.

Did you somehow accidentally create a second account in Windows Mail for the
email address? If not then as far as I know the most likely cause is
Comcast. What antivirus program are you using?

PS-am using McAfee through Comcast

I think McAfee is one that has a reputation for getting confused and causing
problems. I am not an expert so hopefully an expert will clarify things but
the problem might be McAfee. I don't recall however seeing anything that
says that the problem is caused by an antivirus program. If you search
previous replies in this group, I think the answers to this problem in
previous threads have been a duplicate account.

In Tools - Accounts do you have more than one email account entered? Look
at the properties for them to make sure they are not accessing the same
Comcast POP and SMTP servers. If you have another email account, like
Gmail, did you setup your Comcast account on there too? If so, and then you
setup your Gmail account in WM then they could be coming in from the Gmail
account as well as directly from the Comcast account.
