receiving mail in windows mail

I seem to be able to send email using windows mail but I don't receive any.
I have sent numerous test email from my other accounts and I never receive
them. anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong. Thanks. jesse
 
i had the same problem an just got my mail working today. i couldn't receive
mail because of my mcafee security center, so i took it out, an windows mail
is working great.

What error message do you get when you try to receive?
 
My error message I don't remember it all but near the end it said n o error
message an then had some numbers. It has been working fine since I took the
mcafee security center out. I am using avg for virus protection an I have my
firewall on, my email is still working. Everything working fine since took
the mcafee out.
 
I can recieve, but not send can anyone help. The error I am getting is below.

Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR not supported 24pf600897wrl', Port:
995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18
 
That error message resulted from a failed receive attempt.
What error message do you get when you try to send?
