I have used the fax wizard to set up the fax capability,
however, I am unable to receive faxes. I am using DSL,
and the incoming fax is trying to connect to the internal
modem in my laptop, which, of course is not being used
since I am using the DSL Modem. How can I set up to
receive faxes?

You must have an analog line and modem for faxing.
With some DSL connections you can obtain a DSL line filter suitable for
connecting a standard analog voice line to the DSL line and can then connect
an analog fax modem to that line.

fax - req's 'voice-grade line capability'
contact your isp and telco for any possible options
they offer
note
some 'dsl providers can make avail options'
and
chk out 3rd party market for options/do an inet search
and
take it fr there

Are you being able to send faxes?
If yes, probably you just have'nt enabled your fax device for receiving.
When fax is installed, receiving fax is disabled by default.
You need to enable receiving manually by launching configure wizard from fax
console. Tools->Configure Fax
On the select devices for receiving page, enable receiving fax
