I am running W2K Pro SP 4 with Office 2000 SP 3 with all the latest patches
for Windows and Office.
When I save from Excel (and ONLY Excel. Word, Powerpoint, other apps are
all fine)I receive the errormessage: An error occurred while reconnecting H:
to \\servername\sharename. The local device name is already in use.
I click ok, and Excel saves the file anyway. This has been going on for
months, it's just really starting to annoy me.
Again, I can access my H: drive from Windows Explorer and save to if from
all other applications with out error.
Only Excel is giving me this error. Does Excel cache network connections
somewhere in the regisrty perhaps? Maybe there is a corrupt key I could
clear out?
Thanks for any advise
