Hi all,

I often get the following error reported by Outlook 2003. Easyspace is
the name I've given to the account.

!Task 'Easyspace - Receiving' reported error (0x800CCC0F) : 'The
connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues,
contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).
The server responded: +OK'

I am able to access the account with Mailwasher and I usually delete
all the Spam and then try Outlook again - sometimes this works!

I have seen this problem on other PCs too

I don't have Mailwasher or any other program that could be attempting
to access my POP3 mail server when this error occurs.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

John

John,
I have a similar problem.
I moved the "BAD" message to another folder on the server and Outlook
operation returned to normal.
I can re create the error condition by moving the "BAD" message back to the
server Inbox.
I can use a web based service to access the server and see the "BAD"
message.
I think Outlook hangs on an unexpected character sequence in the "BAD"
message.
I used "Ethereal" to capture the raw packets, looks ok to me.

Thanks for the reply Jim.

Seems I must be getting quite a few BAD messages then!

It really is a pain that Outlook can't handle this problem instead of
just hanging and the download process has to start all over again!

I use Mailwasher when I get this problem and delete the spam email at
the server thereby allowing Outlook to download the good stuff.

Regards

John
