Receiving BCC Replies

I know that it's not supposed to work this way but I can't explain it any
other way. Our President (why did it have to be him?) received an email one
day from a gentleman persuing a career position. This person used BCC to
send it to many companies. All fine and dandy...

The next day, we start receiving emails from other companies that seem to
have replied to this gentleman's email (Re:). They are continuing to pour
in... It seems as though we are receiving replies from recipients of a BCC
email. Can anyone explain this otherwise....

The "Reply-to-All" button was used by other receiptients
to reply to this gentleman's email???

Yeah, but still as they were BCCed they would have no notice of the other
recipients and therefore a "Reply to All" shouldn't include a reply to the
ones BCCed.

Have you checked the message header for anything weird? Also was the
original messages received with the address of your President in the To
field? I assume the CC field was empty?

No, Reply to All would reply only to visible recipients. A look at the headers of the original received message might offer some clues. Maybe there are other Reply-To addresses.

I'll have to ask the Pres if I can take a look at the original message...if
he didn't delete it already...

thanks
