Receiving attachments

When using Outlook, I can receive attachments but I'm experiencing problems opening them. I can see the attachment(s) so it isn't that they are blocked; I just can't open them

Any ideas

CAn you save them by File-> Save Attachments? Do you get an error when
trying opening them? What version of Outlook are you using?
