receiving a video

help! haha one of my friends sent me a video, and i have never used WMM
before, i just use the media player, but it will not open in that, and i dont
know how to open it in WMM, i tried, and all that happens when i do it is the
screen showing it is playing with nothing but a black screen to look at, and
i dont even know if i am opening it the correct way. ...?? could anyone help?

your friend sent you the project file and not the movie... as him/her to
render it to a movie file...

how would i go about converting it or making it a movie from the file? its a
friend from overseas..

you can't... only the person with the source files that were used can do
it... that's why you see black where your friend sees pictures and video
clips. Without those pix/clips, you can't make the movie.
