hi ,
My boss is using Outlook2002 on his notebook.
He travels to China and always have problem for receiving / sending email
now.
The POP3 , SMTP setting are correct , there is no error log on our Exchange
server.
But the outlook always show 0% status of receiving/sending .. and keep
receiving status for long long time .
I always advied him to remove those virus scan application which possilbe
block mail receiving but still not working.
Anyone has any ideas ?
Thanks very much
Henry

Does he have a firewall enabled? Note that there is one built-in Windows XP

Also is he capable of browsing the Internet?

Yes , I adviced him to enable the firewall .
But I do not think this related to the problem.
Cause this problem happened before the firewall enabled.
Sometimes it would receive 7 of 100 email .. then stop working..
pretty weird .

You might want to take a look at his pst-file. The maximum size is 2GB. Also
use scanpst.exe to scan it for errors. If the pst-file holds errors writing
to it might fail.
