Receive error "The object could not be found."

When clicking on any mailto link, i.e. in Explorer or
Excel, I recieve an error stating that "The object could
not be found." I am wondering what setting needs to be
adjusted to correct this problem. I have tried to detect
and repair Office XP Standard, but still receive the
error. There do not seem to be any other problems.
 
try this: go to internet explorer, tools, options,
internet options, programs tab and make sure
under 'email' it says your email client ie outlook express

once you've changed that, click apply, ok and then try
again to send a mail from internet explorer or excel -
does it fix the problem?
