Hi
I am rec. the above error when attempting to access a
Home Banking Web Site. I have checked my cookie settings,
to accept all. I have disabled a Norton Virus Utility
when attempting to log on to this site.I have added this
https: as a trusted site,my Microsoft VM, Java Permission
setting is set to High Safety. Under the Advanced
Internet Properties Security Tab I have Use SSL 3.0,2.0
and Use TLS 1.0 all checked off. Any help would be
appreciated.
Regards

This error usually means that it can't find the server you are trying to
connect to. What I would do is make sure you have the address for that
website correct. If you are sure it is correct then try this:

Click Start...Then Run
Type CMD and press ENTER

from here type:

PING thewebaddress.com

This should show you the IP of the website and how long it takes to
communicate with the site. The web address you enter after the PING would
be everything you would type in the address bar except for the http://

If this doesn't work you should contact your ISP as there appears to be a
problem with DNS name resolution, and you need to verify that you have the
correct DNS settings on your system.
