My reply is at the bottom of your sent message:
I want to totally rebuild my windows 2000 pc as its started to run
like a dog and no matter what, its not any better.
I've never done this before... do I need to format the disk first (if
so, how?) and then pop the cd in or if i start the cd will it wipe
the disk for me. This probably sounds like a dumb question but I
thought I better ask before i do it.
Just use the CD. <g> Insert it, make sure the BIOS is set to boot to CD,
turn on the PC, follow on-screen prompts...
HOW TO: Install Windows 2000 Professional:

That *should* give you a good example. It's not very hard really. Have your
key ready, have your anti-virus and firewall's latest versions and keys
ready. Is there anything you'd like to save from the old installation to use
on the new one? Anyhow... Install your OS, install your firewall, install
your anti-virus, go online, update... In that order (for your own sake) if
you want to ensure the PC runs smoothly.
Just for the record, you mentioned it running slow? Clean the drive out,
clear out the malware if applicable, defrag, etc?
