How can I rebuild DNS?

I have found some KB articles that tell me to use the
Netdiag /fix

This however, does not work. When MY AD DNS was installed
it did not create the necessary records that it was
supposed to create:

gc
ldp
udp
tcp

Now nothing wants to work. I was only using one DC and
did not notice the problem. I then installed exchange and
am trying to avoid a re-install.

there has to be a way to get my DNS back in order and I
was hoping someone could help

thanks

Just setup the dns on your DC network card to point to itself and restart
the netlogon service. Or in the worst case restart the DC. And be sure that
the DNS server has "allow dynamic updates" enabled.
