Well I learnt a really good lesson today!

Having originally owned the PC in question, an acquaintance/ friend? Of mine wanted to buy it, original cost £999.00 in Nov 2001,so I sold it to him, as he wanted it for his wife I accepted £100.00.

That was 18Mths ago; she rang me Monday 12/09/2005 as it kept rebooting? I collected it and proceeded to rectify the problem, after some considerable time I eventually found the fault [thanks for all the replies] now I can only assume what happened IT MUST HAVE BEEN DROPPED as the MOBO was cracked the CPU was unseated from its base? I also found a broken disc in the CD drive and the DVD R-W was misaligned by about an inch????

Now I telephoned her and explained the problem, told her it would be £120.00 to repair.

Now this is what she replied! But I have only had the PC for 18Mths and I only banged it to see if that would cure the problem so why are you charging me to repair it!

Need I say more??????

Never sell to family or friends:rolleyes:
