Ok guys and gals, can anyone tell me what this error is?

It is restarting the PC randomly; I have done all the scanning found nothing thwart

It does not do it while using any specific program? It just does it.I thought it maybe the SATA DVD?

Does it do the same thing without drive connected?

I had a prob a few weeks ago when using my SATA Raid IDE drive options.

It kept rebooting just as it was entering the desktop sequence!

I was really puzzled it turned out to be drivers for the SiliconImage onboard SATA controller. They needed to be updated weird!

oops

Have you turned OFF restart on error ?

Have you looked in the Event viewer ?

Have you swapped out the Ram ?

What happens if you do remove the SATA cables ... is it on SATA 1/2/3/10/20 ??

I was gonna write 20 questions, but I can't think of any more at the moment. :p

Dont get a BSOD it just crashes after that error message comes up I managed to get a photo of it with my camera before the bugger shut down:D as it happened a few times well six in about half an hour, it happened so fast it was hard to read but I got it in the end call me flasher:D I am looking for a solution and I think I am winning the battle well I hope so anyways...

Found the problem I hope?

It was a program called MS Office (2000) pro > corrupt disc insertion [code 7 bad sector during set-up] very strange I must say.

I only use genuine software……….

I have now removed it and installed MS works suite (2003)

Well will let you know if its ok. If not back to square one I go..

Thanks mucks and TD:thumb:

I'd give the HD a CHKDSK c: /f /r to be an the safe side ... and run fsutil dirty query c: ... from the run command.

Hi,

First try to change the Ram Slot. And if its still continues install antivirus and boot in safemode and scall all drives.

And also scan with Sasserworm.exe and Blasterworm.exe which are available on Symentec Website.
