Rebooting is impossible

I'm using Windows Vista RC1 Build 5600 64-bit.
And everything is running fine, except for one major issue.
If I reboot, it won't go back into Windows. Either it'll keep rebooting or
it'll hang at the loading bar. If I want to restart it again and get into
Windows I have to repair my install using the DVD and use system restore as
well.

Anyone have any ideas what the problems may be?

I had a situation where I could run Vista just after I installed, but
when I rebooted it would blue screen or do some other strange activity.

I found out that after I had it running the first time, the Windows
update was installing a driver for my modem which was causing the
problem. I never have figured out why it would work in 5600 but not
5728, but I had to boot into Safe Mode and remove the driver before I
could boot normally again. Perhaps you have something similar. You can
set Vista (in System Configuration) to do a boot log (ntbtlog.txt), so
you might try that.
