Hi just put together a new computer
asus a7n8x-x mainboard athlon 2600 / 333 c p u 512
ram seagate 40 gig h/d dvd rom and cd burner

on shut down computer reboots instead of shutting
down
any ideas

check that you dont have the power lead pluged into the
reset (and vice versa) ... a computer will still boot if
there stuffed up ... and will reboot when shutdown ....
also check you APM settings
