owned, i got no boot up discs with it! My question is, is there anyway to
reboot my computer and start it from a fresh without the disc, as my computer
is riddled with probs. mant thanx.

No. When "Bright house" sold you the computer with a Microsoft operating
system installed, unless their sale documents specifically state otherwise
they were legally obligated to provide you a way to return the computer to
factory condition. Otherwise they should have sold you the computer "bare
bones" - without a Microsoft operating system installed. If this is the
case, then go back to "Bright house" and get the operating system.

If one of the conditions of sale was that the computer came "as is" and you
knew it didn't have an operating system disk then you are SOL. Purchase the
operating system you wish to run. Then follow the instructions at these
links if you are installing a Microsoft operating system:

Malke, make note this computer was "preowned".
The shop isn't responsible for "a way to bring it back to factory".
(at least not in any state near to mine)
If that was the case we all could by "Yard Sale" Computers for less than 10
bucks and demand a way to "Bring it back to factory"..........

It really depends on the shop and how they sold the computer. Since neither
you nor I were there when the OP bought the machine, we don't know anything
about the agreement between him and the shop. A real shop is quite
different than a yard sale. If you buy a "pre-owned" machine - a refurb -
at CompUSA, you get quite a different sales arrangement than you do with a
yard sale.
