Try this "PC house cleaning" procedure if it helps
Note that scans then are in "safe mode".
- Download/install CCleaner,
www.ccleaner.com and remove all temporarily
junk.
You can adjust all settings if you want to keep some files.
- Download/Install Lavasofts Adaware

IMPORTANT ! After install upgrade Adaware definitions with "Check for
updates".
- Restart in safe mode, press F8 during reboot just before Windows flag
screen appears.
- Scan with MSAS and Lavasoft Adaware, choose "full scans".
