I'm having an irritating problem where my computer locks-up during a
Firefox session; mouse is locked, keyboard unresponsive (ctrl-alt-del
does nothing) and I have to hit reset. Thought it was a video driver
problem - I installed the latest driver but it's still happening. It
could be a Firefox bug and I may try reinstalling it.
I noticed when I inserted a DVD both the DVD-writer and HD lights came
on for a few seconds. I tried inserting the WinXP install disk, the
lights flashed but nothing happened. My question: Is there a way to
create a CD/DVD that would force the system to bring up the task
manager, or reboot the system, without having to hit reset?
