Reboot w/o warning 2

I just put together a box with Win2K Pro, Office 2K, and
some other small programs for it to be a standard client.
I was told that at certain times the computer reboots
without warning which I can't have happen for obvious
reasons. After working with it, I found that after
opening an email message with a PDF in it, opening the
attachment in Adobe reader (4.0 & 6.0) then closing Adobe
makes the computer shut off. When I say shut off, I mean
the monitor goes black immediately and the lights on the
front start flashing and it starts back up to the logon
screen. Has anyone heard of something like this
happening? I have found out now that it happens in other
PDFs as well. I've tried both versions of Adobe and it
doesn't do it on my computer or anyone elses. I have now
replaced the 256mb RAM with another new Kingston chip.

So what do the system (event) logs say? What do your
hardware diagnostics (provided free by any responsible vendor)
report? Have you verified power supply voltages with a 3.5
digit multimeter? Are those readings within the upper 3/4
region of those limits? Does the problem remain consistent or
get worse when computer operates in a 100 degree F room or
when sections are heated by a hairdryer on high?

There is nothing in the logs except that the system is
coming up. Hardaware diagnostics? All the voltages look
good in the BIOS as do the temperatures of the CPU. I
replaced parts until I found out that it was the ATI
Radeon 9200 VDO card I when I built it. I will be sending
it back. But I don't know if it just isn't compatible
with the Asus A7V8X or if it has an actual problem.

Thanks for your help,
