Hello,

I have many problems vith my P4R800-VM

The system is running under windows XP SP2

When the system is a bit loaded, it reboots.

There is one memory chip (DDR 512 Mo PC2700) (Dimm_A1)

A P4A 1.8 GHz with his standard fan. (MB 29°C CPU 35°C)
1 Disk Barracuda 7200.7 Plus - 200 MB (PM)
1 DVD ROM LITE-ON SOHD-167T (SM)

the AGP and the PCI slots are all empty.

No FD, no USB device connected....

Help !!!! I's never has so many problems with an Asus card ...

Thanks

With a second memory chip (DDR 256 Mo PC2100 (Dimm_A2)
the problem does not happens... it seems to be a problem with the
memory speed ... Wait and see ...

Bye

P4R800-V Deluxe with DDR 512MB PC3200 in A1 and B1 (1GB total)

I am also experiencing random reboots.

Started using the ASUS Probe utility, which appears to indicate a variation
to the +3.3v CPU voltage occurs just before reboot.

I had the same problem that was fixed by manually setting the DRAM refrence
voltage (as suggested by RAM maufacturers website)
worth a shot eh ..

I changed the noname (Elixir) PC2700 to a DaneElec
and the P4A 1.8 into a P4C 3.06 and all works fine.

the P4R800 seems to be very sensitive with the memory ...
specially when it is shared with the GPU ...

bye
