With Windows XP (and 2000) Microsoft added a option that will reboot the
computer every time it used to give a BSOD. Remember, no blue screens means
better software.

You can turn the BSODs back on in the contral panel and get some more useful
information.

The whole thing *is* confusing.. Your computer reboot by itself.. It must be
a hardware problem: bad power supply, faulty RAM, defeative CPU.. So what
do you do: Go and buy a new PC.. And you've just been suckered into buying
another Microsoft lisence.

The two may not be connected - there's a virus doing the rounds that causes
random reboots.
Install, update and run a current virus checker and see if that picks
anything up.
