I was working on my friends computer tonight because she
had a virus. It was a version of the Agobot worm and She
has Windows 2000 as an operating system. I followed
procedures that I found on the web to remove the virus,
and it appeared that everything went smoothly, I then
discovered that she had 18 critical updates to install,
so we downloaded and installed them, followed by
rebooting the computer; however, immidiately following
this the computer would simply not start properly, it
would get to a certain screen during the start up
sequence and simply reboot itself, and this process will
not stop, it simply keeps rebooting before it even
reaches the desktop, I'm completely lost on this one,
does this have something to do with the BIOS settings? or
should we start by trying to run the computer off the
Windows 2000 disk? I would appreciate any incite.
Thank You,
