I'm not sure if this is the right place for this but I wanted to get this
comment out there. I know there are some awfully smart folks at Microsoft so
I'm sure this has been thought up before.... but here goes.
I think it would be very useful if I could rearrange taskbar objects by
manually dragging them to a new position. As many do I'm sure, I often have
several windows open at the same time.... email, web dev app, file folders,
several browser windows, etc. When I'm using multiple windows of the same
application as a reference to complete a task, I don't always open them up in
a logical order. So I end up searching for the right window that has the
information I need. Once I'm settled on "what's on first," I tend to reopen
all of the windows so that they are ordered in a certain way on the taskbar
so that I can reference them in the order that I need them. A good example is
financial data.... payments first, then accruals, then expense records, then
reports.... all referenced to perform reconciliation functions. Or a web dev
example.... php/mysql reference, phpmyadmin, local preview, production.
Thanks for taking the time to read this comment. Have a great day!
