Reappearing favorites

whenever starting up my computer, there are favorites
that just appear on my favorites menu, things like: tax
reduction, viagra, free cars/house/etc...
I've tried running a spy sweeping program but that hasn't
done anything...

The two programs most commonly recommended here are Spybot and
Ad-Aware. I think most people use both since often one will catch what
the other misses. It's vital to update their spyware lists after
installation, and on a regular basis.
