Apologies if this has already been asked.
I have an integrated sound controller (Realtek) which worked FINE in XP. In
Vista (with all the latest drivers too) it ran badly and everything was
choppy. Updating my video card to something more powerful helped (bizarrely)
and the sound was normal for 80% of applications, BUT...sound is still choppy
in Skype and applications like VOIP. Can anyone point me in the right
direction?

Which realtek audio? AC97, HD? When you say latest drivers are you meaning
from realtek's website?

Hi Joe :

I have the Realtek AC97, using the Realtek drivers, file version 2.0.0.4
Digitally signed Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatability.
Driver version is 6.0.1.6243 and is dated 18/06/2007

Thanks

You're welcome.

Glad you got it sorted out.
