RealPlayer / Camera / Autoplay Issues

Opened a 'ticket' with Real about the player...
Answer back I received stated...

"We know about this problem and have fixed it and it will be included in the
upcoming update. "

"Note that we have a fix for this issue that will resolve the problem and
will be released shortly in an upcoming update"

I am now pressing to find out HOW we KNOW when the fix is in the software!

I was also told ..........................

tell you when the trouble has been fixed?
As one who has been trying unsuccessfully to restore my wizards in XP so the
family can continue to save their digi pix, I was relieved to hear people
had realised there was a connection between their updating Real Player and
disappearing autoplays. I would never have put the two together.
I see there is now a recent updated version of Player 10 ( 6.0.12.883). I
have 6.0.12.880. Do I have to download the whole 9.5mb prog again to get the
most up-to-date version, or does it just (quickly) download only the
relevant bits?
It's such a drag as I don't have broadband....
 
Real Support replied that the problem was fixed....
I download the current file again....
Problem re-appeared!!
Uninstalled RealPlayer and rebooted...... problem persisted!
Had to use AUTOFIX.Exe, to cleanup the damage the REAL player install had
done!
Now all better, for now!

But before I uninstalled the version, I looked at "about' and it said
Release V 10
6.0.12.883
Dist RW308B

I replied back to Real Support to find out what's up......

One thought, they may be trying to get me (us) to pull down 10.5, which is
still in BETA status !!
