i am trying to install a new digital camera which i downloaded the driver off
this site, but when i try to use the wizard and select from the manufacturer
list instead of using a cd, there is nothing listed in the place where the
different manufacturers used to be listed, it just lists unable to locate any
driver. i used to select from the list of manufacturers and model numbers and
go from there. what can i do?? please advise asap.
thank you very much.

The New Hardware wizard needs to be pointed to the location of the
[extracted/unzipped] driver file that has been downloaded. This is
usually done by clicking on the "Have Disk" button and then going
to its location of its folder on the hard drive. Only after that
would it provide the identity of the new hardware.

Two things to check: The downloaded file needs to be extracted and
unzipped in its own folder. And, secondly, there must be an *.inf
file that is associated with the new hardware and in this folder.
