code

How is the report set up? If that line (horizontally) is used for something
else in the report, it won't be allowed to shrink because the space needs to
be maintained for the other item(s) on the line. This can be caused by an
item partially overlapping the space occupied by the textbox anywhere along
the line horizontally from the textbox. This can also be caused if the
textbox has a label but the label has become disassociated from the textbox
(i.e. does the label move when the textbox moves?). If the label isn't
associated, Access doesn't know that it belongs to the textbox and so won't
shrink the line in order to display the label.

It is base on a query no the line or the field is use for the second
line of adresse, Ihave create un second field of addresse thinking it
wouls solve my problem.

I do not have any lable in my report it is on ly mailing addresse,
right now it is printing on 2 lines if it need to print all the adresse
but for the addresse that have only one line there is a empty blank
line, it looks that when it is shrinking it still left the place blank!

thanks for youer anwser!

PS.

Sorry, there was an error in my previous post. Checking this, I found that
even if the label is associated with the control, the control won't shrink
in order to display the label.

I have to put the field for 2 lines if i want the text box be
shrinkable
sorry for asking for this repeating question :)

thanks

Is each line of the address in its own textbox? What is the Control Source
of each of the textboxes or of the one textbox?
