Hi. Sorry to post here and apologies if I dont reply very
quickly. My ability to get onto the various sections in
this newsgroup changes hour by hour and I cant currently
get to the Importing Exporting section.

Ive been having occasional problems while making design
changes to my db and although I think they are network
related, I thought Id try a complete import to a new db.
Ive done this twice now and get the same strange problem.
I created a blank db first, then Imported all objects and
relationships into it from the main db. All works OK
except for a certain group of reports. When I open any of
them I get the message Character found at the end of the
SQL statement. Without going into detail at this stage
about the design of these reports, what I want to ask is,
why is this occurring in the new db and not in the db
where I imported from? Surely they should be identical?
Other, standard, reports work perfectly. Im using Access
2002 on XP, networked.

Thanks for any opinions, JohnB

Hello John,

It is possible that you got some corruption on a query that is common to the
group of reports. See if you can open the query or sql statement associated
with those reports. If they open in ASL view then there is a problem with
the statement. It could have occured during the import, that is all I can
conclude. Also check that the drivers exist for the printer assigned to the
reports.

God Bless,

Mark A. Sam
