For some reason all of my real time protection categories
are In-Active. Regardless of how many times I click that
button to activate the checkpoints nothing happens. Any
help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.

Try an an update install to cure this:

start, control panel, add or remove programs, Microsoft Antispyware, change,
update/

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM, AND I CAN FIND NO HELP SECTION IN MICROSOFTS WEB
PAGES- I HAVE AN OLDER COMPUTERALSO RUNNING XP SP2 AND ALL REAL TIME
PROTECTION AGENTS ARE WORKING, BUT WITH MY NEWER COMPUTER ALL LINKS
ACCOSIATED WITH ACTIVATING REAL TIME PROTECTION ARE INACTIVE - DOES SOMEONE
HAVE ANY INFORMATION ON HOW TO REACTIVATE THESE AGENTS, I'VE TRIED TO EDIT
OUT ALL ENTRIES IN THE REGISTER AND REINSTALL THE PROGRAM, BUT TO NO AVAIL

HEY I JUST FOUND A METHOD FROM ANOTHER POST ABOUT HAVING REAL TIME PROTECTION
PROBLEMS, TRY THIS:
START, RUN, THEN FILL IN regsvr32 msvbvm60.dll
I DID THIS AND GOT A MESSAGE THAT REGSVR 32 MSVBVM60.DLL WAS SUCESSFULL,
THEN I OPEN THE ANTI SPYWARE AND ALL REAL TIME PROTECTION AGENTS WAS
ACTIVATABLE - HOPE THIS HELPS

Thanks, Jeff--the more that information gets out there, the easier it will
be for folks with the same problem to find it.
