Real Time Protection Problem

I think there is a major problem with my program. My
real time protecton is listed as "2 of 3 active" and when
i try to manage the protection i see only one availible.
Also, the agents say "active" but the activate/deactivate
button is labled activate. When i click activate the one
agent that is listed, the app freezes. I have
reinstalled twice and it is the same right off the bat.
Any suggestions?
 
Repair Windows AntiSpyware using Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel.
Click Microsoft AntiSpyware and click Change. Click Next, and then click
Update.

Make certain that you right-click on the MSAS icon in the
systray and select shutdown before you do this.

You might need to reactivate some of the security agents
once this has been accomlished, as I had to do a week ago
when this problem arrose.

To keep this from happening in the future, DO NOT select
deactivate either script blocking nor program execution
in the application agents, as they are both linked
together and deactivating one also deactivates the other.
